In its worst loss of the season, the visiting University of Hawai’i men’s basketball team was routed by Cal State Northridge, 84-60, Saturday afternoon in Big West Conference action.

A sparse crowd of 445 at Premier America Credit Union Arena watched Larry Hughes II score a game-high 27 points and Josiah Davis add 20 points as the Matadors improved to 16-10 overall and 9-5 in league play. Isaac Finlinson scored 13 points and made three steals to lead the Warriors, who fell to 18-6, 10-4.
