
University of Hawai’i men’s basketball sophomore forward Akira Jacobs has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal, according to “Verbal Commits,” a national college basketball digital tracking source.
Jacobs, who is 6-feet-10 but known especially for his 3-point shooting, played in 30 of the Warriors’ 31 games this past season, including eight starts. He averaged almost 19 minutes per outing, and 6.6 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. Jacobs finished the year third on the team in 3-pointers made, with 29 in 94 attempts (30.9 percent).
Sophomore guard Logan Robeson, who appeared in 10 games (no starts) logging 16 total minutes, also has reportedly entered the transfer portal.
