Hawai’i sophomore guard Tom Beattie, a co-captain this past season, has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Beattie played in all of UH’s 31 games this past season, starting 24, and averaging 25.9 minutes per game. As a combo guard, he played at both the point and wing and averaged 7.4 points and 2.5 rebounds per game.
At 6 feet 5, Beattie gave the Warriors size and physicality at the guard position, as well as a gritty spirit. He is from Auckland, New Zealand.
In his “X” post announcing his departure, Beattie wrote, “Truly grateful (to) the University of Hawai’i for the past 2 years! The islands will also hold a special place in my heart. Thank you to everyone for making this part of my journey so special!”
